D.) distinguished in the art of calligraphy. The scroll contains Chapter V of the Ise Monogatari or Tales of Ise, a collection of many witty short tales of love, one of the most widely read classics of Japan.\n     Miss Tamura, even before observing the actual thing, made a prompt guess that this copy of chapter V of the Ise was a detached segment of that Picture Scroll Ise Monogatari or illustrated Tales of Ise, registered as an important cultural property, formerly in the fine collection of Mr. Hara, Yokohama, which she had treated of in one of her previous articles contributed to this journal, No. 273, January, 1971. Her later close examination and comparison of its paper, size, handwriting, ashi-de pattern, etc., graciously permitted by the Imperial Household Agency,\nproved the correctness of her guess. Hara's scroll includes the picture illustrative of Chapter V of the Tales but lacks the corresponding text. The copy of Chapter V in the Imperial collection just fills this gap. This is a very interesting discovery.\n     The writing paper of this segment is ornamented with ashi-de. The ashi-de is a pattern of reeds (ashi) and the like with some Japanese syllabic letters or Chinese characters entangled in them. Most ashi-de letters or characters in a certain sense are puzzles. Furnishing abundant instances in which some letters or characters are omitted from an ashi-de phrase, Miss Tamura interprets the ashi-de letter す (su) and character 衣 (koromo) on the segment paper as すり衣 (suri goromo) quoted from one of the waka (Japanese poems) in Chapter I of the Ise Monogatari. This interpretation agrees with and strengthens her previous supposition (op. cit.) that in Hara's Ise Monogatari Scroll the ornamental pattern or drawing on each sheet of writing paper is also based upon the Ise itself but, probably with the intention of avoiding monotony, not upon the chapter written on that sheet and illustrated by the picture on the following sheet or sheets.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"田村, 悦子"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"27024","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Tamura, Etsuko","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"27025","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2017-10-04"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"288_1_Tamura_Redacted.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"14.7 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"288_1_Tamura_Redacted.pdf","url":"https://tobunken.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/6538/files/288_1_Tamura_Redacted.pdf"},"version_id":"0ed3fc3e-f54b-424f-befe-ce78d33f7eba"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"伏見天皇宸翰伊勢物語(御物)芦手","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Tales of Ise, Picture Scroll, Fragmentary Text Copied by Emperor Fushimi, Imperial Collection","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"御物 伏見天皇宸翰伊勢物語について―原家旧蔵伊勢物語絵巻の断簡―","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"御物 伏見天皇宸翰伊勢物語について―原家旧蔵伊勢物語絵巻の断簡―"},{"subitem_title":"Emperor Fushimi’s Masterpiece of Calligraphy Supported to be a Detached Segment of the Tales of Ise Picture Scroll Formerly in Mr. Hara’s Collection","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10001","owner":"3","path":["1081"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2017-10-05"},"publish_date":"2017-10-05","publish_status":"0","recid":"6538","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["御物 伏見天皇宸翰伊勢物語について―原家旧蔵伊勢物語絵巻の断簡―"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":3},"updated":"2023-05-15T14:26:31.513878+00:00"}
