Their common features are that they are all bust figures in vermilion garments and that unique exaggerated shading is used on their countenances. They could be iconologically classified into four types as follows; 1) front view without hood : 2) front view without hood and with arms crossed inside the vermilion garment; 3) profile with hood ; 4) front view with hood. These tend to succeed each other in chronological order. From the signatures, seals and inscriptions on the pictures, it is recognizable that there was a typological change in the chronological order of 1 through 4 in the time span of a century and a half from the beginning of the Edo Period to about the middle of the eighteenth century.\n These pictures have important significance for the study of the history of Western-style painting in Pre-Meiji Japan. Approximately one century between the first current of Western style painting in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and the second current started by Kōkan SHIBA and other painters at the end of the eighteenth century has been treated heretofore as a blank period of Western style painting history. But, some of the abovementioned examples of “Bodhidharma” paintings fill this missing link and clearly indicate that Western style painting was continuously in practice from the beginning of the Edo Period to the latter half of the Edo Period.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"三輪, 英夫"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Miwa, Hideo","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2017-10-04"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"311_1_Miwa_Redacted.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"19.8 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"311_1_Miwa_Redacted.pdf","url":"https://tobunken.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/6469/files/311_1_Miwa_Redacted.pdf"},"version_id":"5e707eb0-bfef-4351-8732-ee3c84f2c856"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"達磨図(大阪 南蛮文化館蔵)・達磨図(奈良 天理図書館蔵)・達磨図(群馬 万福寺蔵)・達磨図(佐賀 円通寺蔵)","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"“Bodhidharma,” The Namban Bunkakan, Osaka / “Bodhidharma,” Tenri Library, Nara / “Bodhidharma,” The Mampukuji, Gumma / “Bodhidharma,” The Entsuji, Saga","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"洋風画法による達磨図について","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"洋風画法による達磨図について"},{"subitem_title":"Pictures of “Bodhidharma” in Western Painting Style","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10001","owner":"3","path":["1063"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2017-10-05"},"publish_date":"2017-10-05","publish_status":"0","recid":"6469","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["洋風画法による達磨図について"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":3},"updated":"2023-05-15T14:30:28.152432+00:00"}
