Part II of the article presented in this number deals with the process of the repairs of the (3) gold -threaded figured silk satin dōgi shirt (Pls. X-a and b show the entire view of the front and the back after the repairs) and the knowledge obtained through the repairs. As for the other two dōgi shirts, of which restoration copies were made as elaborately as posslble under the present circumstances, the process of and the facts found in the work are reported. The following conclusions are drawn from the investigation, repairs and the production of copies of the three dōgi shirts. When compared with other Japanese dōgi shirts of the sixteenth and the seventeenth centuries the three Rinnōji dōgi shirts are in the line of undershirts for the armour dating from the sixteenth and the seventeenth centuries. Those used for the comparison pertain to the older style than the three dōgi shirts in question and all of them are undershirts for the armour; figs. 12 to 18. Judging from the shape, material, design and tailoring, the three Rinnōji dōgi shirts date from around the thirteenth year of the Kan'ei Period (1636), the approximate date suggested by other materials.}, pages = {30--36}, title = {日光山輪王寺伝来胴着三領並びにそれらの修理及び復元模造について 下}, year = {1986}, yomi = {[神谷栄子・田実栄子]} }
