These costumes were all newly prepared for this particular occasion, and they represent the early Edo-period textile as was known through the survey conducted since 1980. In one of these chests of bugaku costumes, three dōgi shirts in question have been preserved. Though these three dōgi were not worn in the bugaku performance, they share the same characteristics with the above mentioned bugaku costumes technically and stylistically. Therefore all of them can be considered to be contemporaneous. The present author assumes that these dōgi were worn by the bugaku performers off stage as gowns during intervals. Of the three dōgi shirts, two are in their complete form (Plates I to IV), but the third is severely damaged. Plate V is a photograph of its detail taken after tye repairs. The report of the investigation and the results of the repairs and restorations are included in this article, whose Part I is presented in this number.}, pages = {1--9}, title = {日光山輪王寺伝来胴着三領並びにそれらの修理及び復元模造について 上}, year = {1986}, yomi = {[神谷栄子・田実栄子]} }
