Approximately 200 samples were obtained and analyzed non-destructively. In this report, the results of elemental analysis by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, identification of chemical compounds by X-ray diffraction analysis, observation of particles by digital microscope and quantification of color by spectral photometer are presented. The identified materials in these analyses are as follows: (1) White-colored samples Chalk (CaCO3), white mica (KAl2(Si3Al)O10(OH,F)2) and cerussite (PbCO3) (2) Red-colored samples Cinnabar (HgS), red iron oxide (Fe2O3), red lead (Pb3O4) and others (3) Yellow-colored samples Cobalt glass, SiO2 and others (4) Green-colored samples Malachite (Cu2(CO3)(OH)2) and a material containing Mn as a major component (5) Blue-colored samples Azurite (Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2), smalt, ultramarine blue (Na2Al6Si6O24S) and prussian blue (Fe4[Fe(CN)6]3) (6) Black-colored samples Magnetite (Fe3O4) and CuO (7) Metal samples Gold (Au), sliver (Ag) and brass powder (Cu-Zn) New findings were obtained especially for the green-colored samples. Philipsburgite ((Cu,Zn)6(AsO4,PO4)2(OH)6・H2O), adamite ((Zn,Cu)2(AsO4)(OH)), and rosasite (CuZn(CO3)(OH)2) were identified as compounds that contain Cu, Zn and As coexisting with malachite (Cu2(CO3)(OH)2). These data are expected to be used as basic data for pigments analysis.}, pages = {61--74}, title = {〔報文〕武雄鍋島家所蔵皆春齋絵具の材質分析}, year = {2007} }
