However, it is necessary to evaluate the　effect caused by its use in past fumigations of cultural properties.\n　In this study, the effect of fumigation was revalued by the appearance of color change on　objects. Five kinds of metal samples －lead, tin, silver, copper, and solder－ were processed in　three ways each: simply rolled flat, processed to make a rock-like surface, and beaten with a　hammer.
