These scores were transcribed by ASADA Masayuki, a banker and a devotee of Japanese music, and donated by his family after his death. The collection includes scores of Japanese music of the Edo period such as kiyomoto-bushi , itchu-bushi , miyazono-bushi , nagauta and tokiwazu-bushi . In all, original scores for 96 repertories were confirmed. There are also scores that have been printed and bound based on these originals; these books have already been made public. Japanese music is basically transmitted orally, and the scores related to joruri , in particular, are difficult to express in written form and had not been published much. ASADA’s scores are also based mainly on what he noted at the time he himself was practicing or transcribed from records. ASADA strongly wished that his scores would bring about an increase in the number of lovers of Japanese music. The scores were published for over 20 years, starting from 1955. With some, changes and additions were made by ASADA even after the first edition and revised versions were published more than 10 years later. The originals are stored only at the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the National Research Institute for Cultural Properties, Tokyo, but book versions are found at such institutions as the Tokyo University of the Arts, National Theatre of Tokyo, National Diet Library, and The Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre Museum Waseda University. A table of the complete collection is given at the end.}, pages = {77--107}, title = {〔資料紹介〕浅田正徹採譜楽譜}, year = {2011} }
