In 1908, during his fourth years of study, his name was removed from the school listings, and his activities after that date were unknown. The Harold Wong Collection in Hong Kong includes a painting by Huang Ernan, known as a shehua, or tougue painting, because the artist used his tongue to draw in ink. The painting, Bamboo and Rock, has a seal that reads Huang Fuzhou Yin. This seal indicates that Huang Ernan, who was known for his tougue painting performances from around 1930 through the early 1940s, is the same as Huang Fuzhou. While Huang participated in China\u0027s first new theatre gruop, the Chunliushe, organized by Li An and Zeng Yannien who were students at Tokyo Bijutsu Gakko. Huang appeared in a June 1907 performance, and it is also apparent that he performed in a new theatre group in Shanghai in April 1912 after his return to China. According to Ouyang Yuqian\u0027s memoirs, Huang is known to have been a robust 75-year-old in 1958, and continued to create tongue paintings after the Communist takeover of China. This article introduces Huang\u0027s biography, his tongue painting method, and two of his tougue painting works.\n\nADDENDUM: PAPIER COLLÉ WORKS BY YANG WEIQUAN\n In issue 359 of this journal, the author introduces works that following Yang Weiquan\u0027s Papier Collé. Then in 1999-2000, as the author worked on the jointly authored unpublished project with the proposed title of Shen Bao : Complete Index of Articles and Advertisements Related to Art Published from 1872-1949, he found that works following Papier Collé were called jinhuidui durng the Republican Period, which was named after a paiting titles jinhuidui by Qian Xuan during the Yuan dynasty. In addition to Yang Weiquan, Chen Yuankan, Mu Yilong, Zheng Zuochen and others created such works during taht period. 内容記述 | Huang Fuzhou, the first Chinese student to study at the Tokyo Bijutsu Gakko (Tokyo Art school), entered the academy's Western Paintng division in 1905. In 1908, during his fourth years of study, his name was removed from the school listings, and his activities after that date were unknown. The Harold Wong Collection in Hong Kong includes a painting by Huang Ernan, known as a shehua, or tougue painting, because the artist used his tongue to draw in ink. The painting, Bamboo and Rock, has a seal that reads Huang Fuzhou Yin. This seal indicates that Huang Ernan, who was known for his tougue painting performances from around 1930 through the early 1940s, is the same as Huang Fuzhou.
